See Yourself In A Different Light
Rahul Ragu, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Counselor for OCD and Social Anxiety Disorders
Mr. Ragu is a licensed marriage and family therapist who has been working as a therapist since 2014. He works with a variety of clientele including children, teens, adults, couples, and families. He enjoys working with diverse populations in terms of race, ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic status, LGBTQ+, sexual orientation, and other backgrounds.
My goal is to first build rapport and connection with my clients using a client/person centered approach and exemplifying genuineness and congruence, unconditional positive regard, and empathetic understanding. I feel that it is important to build safety, comfort, and trust in the therapeutic relationship. Clients need to have a safe and confidential space where they can discuss their thoughts and feelings.
Secondly, I want to develop a thorough psychosocial assessment including chief complaint, history of presenting illness, psychiatric history, medical history, alcohol and drug use, cultural assessment, coping skills, family or social history, occupational history, educational history, developmental history, spiritual assessment, interests, abilities, and mental status examination.
Then I would like to formulate a treatment plan which includes history assessment and demographics, presenting concerns, treatment contract, strengths, modality, frequency, and targets, treatment goals, objectives, interventions, and progress and outcomes.
